We haven't seen the issues with write offs on auto repos and the coming housing market collapse either.
Enjoy the decline!

so the question is what is the truth. was the bank mismanaged? or is it a systemic problem due to inflation/current business environment.....and rising interest rates?

Gee, who would have thunk that "printing" billions of dollars for 2 years to secure as many votes as possible would destroy the economy?
And, yes this almost certainly looks like the way the current administration will transition us from hard currency to digital currency. But, don't worry...... They are doing it to protect us.
Remember in 2020 when you couldn't turn around without hearing that who you vote for matters? Today we're finding out how true that statement was.

You might want to request an edit to your talking points memo.

Where these same "initiatives" in place in the 1980s and 1990s during the S&L crisis? How about Lincoln Savings and Loan? Did they have a diverse woke board? Was Frank Keating woke? Bonus points for you...please educate me on how "cultureand DIE initiatives" led to a run on a bank? On earnings too? Back to the talking points for you.

Biden and this admin sucks (inflation reduction act, LMAO) as with the rest of the entire two party establishment. What's better is the constant finger pointing back and forth.
SVB got hammered because they loaded up on long term low rate vehicles in a rising rate market... genius. Look at most of the banks that are being smoked right now and the asset mix of investments.
Allowing banks into crypto... more genius level stuff. If there is one thing that is consistent with most banking management... they are greedy as fuck looking for the easy buck.

As far as having women running things, I don’t know how that would’ve seemed like a good idea with each of them having one week a month being bat shit fucking crazy with their periods.

What facinates me is how very similar the scripts of Paul Volker's challenges were to what Powell's are now. Yeah sure I know both have varying degrees of extremes, but the game is still the same. Right down to the geopolitical. We just haven't had our winter of '82 yet. I'm sure Powell's ass is like a can of brown paint con CPI manana. Interesting stuff.
