    • Beer industry ‘in shock’ that Bud Light backlash continues as expert warns of supply shortages of rival lagers

"The whole industry is in shock. Even Bud's competitors aren't really dancing on the grave because they know it could have happened to them," Beer Business Daily editor and publisher Harry Schuhmacher told Fox News Digital.

      [ ... ]

Schuhmacher, who regularly speaks to beer distributors across North America, believes newfound demand for light lagers that aren’t owned by Anheuser-Busch could result in a trickle-down effect on the industry. Molson Coors, the parent company of both Coors Light and Miller Lite, might not even be able to supply enough beer as Americans enter a holiday weekend that unofficially kicks off the start of summer.

      [ ... ]

Schuhmacher, who has worked in the beer industry for over three decades in multiple positions and has published Beer Business Daily for 20 years, believes backlash will eventually die down, and Bud Light will stay on top despite long-lasting scars.

"I think there is probably a degree of permanent damage to the brand. But in the long term, things usually revert back to the mean," he said.

The appetite for news and analysis of the Bud Light debacle is still strong, and Beer Business Daily, a niche publication which focuses on the North American commercial beer industry, has exploded in popularity.

"We haven't really seen it since 2008 when Miller bought Coors, or they merged and InBev bought Anheuser-Busch. So, yeah, there's tremendous interest in this and our traffic on our website is blowing up," Schuhmacher said. "It's a story that just won't die."

“Since introducing this year’s collection, we’ve experienced threats impacting our team members’ sense of safety and wellbeing while at work,” a Target spokesperson said in a statement.

“Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior,” the spokesperson said.

"Buh bye, @LEVIS. I will never buy your overpriced jeans again. I hope you go the way of @budweiserusa and lose sales and stock value," said another.

"I will never wear a pair of Levi's again," vowed another detractor.

            • Some Budweiser products are being sold for free in some stores thanks to a new promotional rebate from the Anheuser-Busch company, following weeks of Bud Light backlash.

Ahead of the Memorial Day weekend, Bud Light revealed a new promotion called the US Budweiser Family Memorial Day Rebate online for customers from eligible states. The rebate promises an amount "equivalent to the purchase price of one (1) 15-pack or larger, up to $15" of Bud Light, Budweiser, Budweiser Select or Budweiser Select 55 paid via Anheuser-Busch Digital Prepaid Mastercard. Based on recent prices for Bud Light products, however, in some cases this would be giving packs of beer away for free.

Online searches of local beer retailers find many offers under $15 for 15-packs or larger of these Budweiser products, making the products free after rebate, excluding sales tax or any state restrictions.

On Wednesday, a Nashua, New Hampshire, Shaw's Supermarket had 30-packs of Bud Light cans on sale for $19.99, down from $24.99, making the price about $5 after rebate.

People are hilarious. Especially this one that confesses they purchase 'overpriced' items:

They are overpriced though. I've bought my last few pair of jeans from the Levi's secondhand store online. $36 is about as much as I wanna pay for a pair of jeans.

They're made nowhere near as well as they were 30 years ago (same story for pretty much everything these days), I've noticed. And it's becoming increasingly difficult to find actual denim Levi's. Most are made with that stretch material that doesn't last as long. I've only found a few denim jeans and those are what I bought.

I don't believe this one bit. I'm sure a few customers may have said something rude but I doubt people are threatening the store employees because they aren't the decision makers.

This actually a pretty clever ploy, however. I figure this impacted them negatively on social media and the bottom line. Instead of saying that money is more important than their moral stance, they blame it on bad customers. That's the way of the world today. We've seen it numerous times in the entertainment industry. Instead of admitting you made a bad movie, blame toxic fans.

So quit buying them because they are overpriced...not because of some ad. (not directed at you because you found another way). I do have a follow-up, is something "overpriced" if people are willing to pay that price for them?

I almost brought Walmart to a grinding halt many years ago. They hosed me on a tire purchase and I stopped buying anything from them for more than a year. They only are here today because, I found out later, my wife and MIL were sneaking in there behind my back and buying stuff. Their unwillingness to hold the line on the family boycott made it ineffective. Otherwise, WM would be in the trash bin of history today with Sears, Kmart, Wards, and so many others

Target Corporation is partnering with a K-12 education group for which focuses on getting districts to adopt policies that will keep parents in the dark on their child's in-school gender transition, providing sexually explicit books to schools for free, and integrating gender ideology at all levels of curriculum in public schools, Fox News Digital uncovered.

"GLSEN leads the movement in creating affirming... and anti-racist spaces for LGBTQIA+ students. We are proud of 10+ years of collaboration with GLSEN and continue to support their mission," Target said. The retail giant provides annual donations to GLSEN.

GLSEN calls for gender ideology to be integrated into all classes, even math. It provides educators instructions on how they can make math "more inclusive of trans and non-binary identities" by including "they/them" pronouns in word problems.

About 4 yrs ago my wife bought me some American Eagles and they impressed me with their comfort and price. Recently my wife bought me some $20 jeans at Walmart and I actually like them. We will see how the hold up but needless to say Levi’s are history in my wardrobe.
