Are you kidding? Biden will share his life experiences. He can't make that shit up.

When "What You Won't Do For Love" was dropped in 1978 it was "blind" labeled to R&B radio withholding a press kit and the fact that Caldwell was white...black radio could be reluctant to break a hit for white artists back then...that song became a top 10 pop and R&B hit with most people believing he was a black artist...it is a revered R&B "dusty" now along with other blue-eyed soul tracks like "Sara Smile".

One of the stations I managed back in the day was a Smooth Jazz'er...he was part of a summer concert series we did...I found him to be a very nice guy...not my musicial cup of tea, but props for his soulful and powerful voice...RIP

Won't matter. Dude can't even read his own name without screwing it up.

Son of a bitch. I'm gonna have to check with the dentist who did my implant. That's the one and only antibiotic I've taken in decades. No clue what it was, but I'm gonna find out. Then, all of the sudden I rupture my achilles a few months later? Hope ribby ain't taking that shit.

I was on heavy anti biotics that cleaned out my gut and then I got c diff, almost dying. Those are some great drugs but can also be a big problem.

Ditto. Just watched Red October again a couple of weeks ago. Then I bought the book again and reread it. Hard to believe that it has been more than 35 years since it was written. Also the only Alex Baldwin movie that I have seen. He did OK.

I read the book on an airplane when it came out. And yeah, Alec Baldwin is on my list of least favorite actors. For multiple reasons. To me, Sean Connery and the guy who was the captain on the US submarine carried the flick.

First, Irvin Irving was a white man and was much more of a prick than Reddick's version. I was kind of disappointed in that whole deal, but he did OK, he just wasn't Irvin Irving from the books. I've seen the first two John Wicks and he was very good in his role as the hotel concierge. I'll have to go re-watch them and the third.

My first remembrance of him was his portrayal of Oenomaus in Spartacus. He was perfect for that role and was a bad man. He will always be Doctore to me. What really sucks is that Wikipedia doesn't even mention his role in the Spartacus series. Very odd?

                                                      RIP Oenomaus.

Well you'll probably just be disappointed then cause first of all, Bosch was a tunnel rat in the Army in Vietnam, not some sniper or whatever in Iraq. The whole Eleanor Wish deal didn't happen anything like in the movies, and yeah, Chief Irvin Irving was a Caucasian SOB who's jaw muscles could crack walnuts and he hated the very ground Harry Bosch stood on. And Bosch wasn't a duck footed goof in the books like the movie dude. The only even remotely similar thing with Chief Irving was he was a chrome domed baldy. Other than that? Very few similarities.

As always, the books are WAAAAAAY better, but the character playing Bosch is the picture on the books so it works. Pick up The Black Echo and read the first one. You'll see. My wife is listening to them now on her trip/s to Oklahoma and Iowa. She's already watched the movies and she'll call me going "they sure fucked that whole deal up in the movie, didn't they?" She's up to The Concrete Blonde now.

When pop went to Vietnam in 1964-65 through 67 my mom (and the Nazarene church we went to) lightened up a bit. My very first movie was The Cross & the Switchblade and we saw it at Fox Downtown in Tucson with a church group. Remember it vividly. Held hands with Esther Frampton. Then my mom would let our older cousin (who ended up becoming a Mormon) who lived with us take us to drive ins with her boyfriend while mom was at work waitressing. First one I remember was Duel at Diablo at The Cactus Drive in, and it scared the shit out of me when the indians roasted the guy on a wagon wheel over coals. Remember seeing The Sound of Music (fell asleep), 101 Dalmatians, and some other Disney stuff.

I remember he got super pissed when he found out mom went with a couple of her friends to see Dr. Zhivago at the Fox when he was gone to Vietnam. Heh. The good ol' days...finally he caved in and we all went to see Blackbeard's Ghost and Hang em' High. Also remember The Green Beret. We saw more, but I don't remember them. Pop became a big Clint Eastwood guy after that. He was huge on westerns and loved John Wayne too.
