Met JLaw in Cali eating lunch and got to talk to her for a while...should've asked her out. Met Miley once very briefly. Partied with Carrie Underwood before she was on American Idol. Still one of the best times I had was getting to hang out with Kid Rock at like 3am at a casino bar in Vegas. Toby Keith but that doesn't really count.
Jane Seymour(Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) back in 1992 I think. In Phoenix in a hotel lobby. Just chatterd a bit. Ididn't even acknowledge that I knew who she was.
Most recent was Penn Jillette this last winter. He knew I was a big fan, but I did tell him that the "Penn and Teller: Bullshit" episode about twelve-stepping was socially irresponsible, and they should yank it from Showtime / Amazon Prime. I told him I was also an atheist, and I did not agree with AA's "I am powerless, must give myself over to a higher power." dogma, but that AA has helped so many people, and countless people really benefit from that structure. He was very receptive and understanding about it. We agreed that other, secular, 12-step programs were more likely to help people than AA. He's taller than you think, Teller is average height.

Are you on the 13th step which is drink away the other 12 when you posted this? I mean I changed the whole topic because I just wanted to humble brag lol.
Met local newscaster Sawyer Buccy at the library a few weeks ago. She couldn't have been more gracious or stunning. Even gotta selfie w/her. In general I've never met anyone super famous. Mark Holton, who played Francis in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and Tubby in Teen Wolf came to my stepdad's pawn shop in Okmulgee one time. He was from there and he liked to come in and look at the guns from time to time. Super nice guy. Met Riddick Bowe in a hotel once. He looked to be in pretty rough shape when I saw him. I said "Champ how you doin'? and shook his hand. He was very gracious and appreciative that I recognized him and called him champ I think.
My Dad was OHP and used to work the Governor's security detail and he met a ton of celebs mostly political figures. Said Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford were two of the nicest people he's ever met. He said Ford stood out in the pouring rain once to shake every trooper's hand before boarding AF1. My Dad appreciated that. He and Peter Jennings used to smoke together and laugh about being college dropouts. Drove Johnny Cash to a concert in McAlester Prison. Said Johnny was polite but didn't say much. One of his favorite celeb experiences was meeting Ross Perot. He picked up Perot from the airport in the 90's and said he couldn't have been more gracious. My Dad was an ex-Marine and apparantly Perot loved talking to military guys. My Dad got a first-hand account from Ross about the Iranian hostage rescue that Perot organized w/Col. Bull Simons.
Sat behind Jack Lord in a movie theater in Honolulu when I was a kid.
Sliced some roast beef for Barry Switzer at a Sooner Club banquet in Tulsa.
Sat in a hot tub with Bob Barry Junior at a local gym. Just me and him shooting the shit.
Robin Marsh lived down the street from me for a while.
Met Morly Safer in the Houston airport.
I spoke to the Undertaker on a plane flight from OKC to Dallas.
I sat face to face with Steve Owens on a flight from Dallas to OKC (SW had face-to-face seating back then).
Helped Mary Fallin retrieve bags from baggage claim in OKC. She was a Congresswoman at the time, and had just flown in from Washington. She was alone - no aids, so I grabbed her bags for her of the belt.
Probably the biggest was running into Sammy Hagar and Neil Schon (Journey) at the OKC airport rental car counter. Had a pretty good conversation with Sammy. Neil was too hammered to speak.
The biggest would have been Steven Tyler at the DFW airport, walking through the terminal, but he whizzed by so fast I didn't have a chance to speak to him.
I guess I've seen quite a few celebrities on planes and in airports.

Spent a considerable amount of time around George W. Not only was he an engaging and personable person, he was overly concerned about he Secret Service detail and that they were taken care of. I attended a speech he gave with a group of about 300 of us in DC about government service. His repu6as a public speaker could not be further from the truth. Live, he was one of the best speakers I have ever seen.
I've seen a LOT of celebrities during the time I was a consultant. Not going to run the list. The LAST time I actually met celebrities was a five in one event. The 50th anniversary of the Sebring race. They were inducting legendary drivers into the HoF and I bought tickets to the luncheon with them. If you're into racing, you'll recognize the names. If not, you won't. They were:
Mario Andretti
Bobby Rahal
Carroll Shelby
Stirling Moss
Derek Daly (who was Master of Ceremonies, not an inductee)
A few years ago Dr Robert Ballard came to my school to speak at an assembly. Prior to him going onstage I chatted with him for a few minutes about WWII shipwrecks in the Pacific. He was very easy to visit with.
Met several during my days of helping Nashville Habitat for Humanity. The worse was Reba Mcentire who i wouldn't piss on if she was on fire. The best was by far Amy Grant. If angels walk this earth she is one of them.

34th step. Gotta give multiple donations ($15 minimum) to children's causes in Dolph Lundgren's name. I've had suspicions that I've been had. Gotta work the program, though.

Briefly met James Carville in New Orleans a few years ago, and it was a pretty funny scene that only I was able to enjoy. I was at a friend's wedding reception, and the place hosting it had two separate private party rooms. I was standing at the end of the bar closest to the door when all the sudden Carville is standing right beside me. He's looking around all wild eyed, and at first I thought he must have been smashed, but then I realized he was just freaked out because he didn't recognize anyone. The entire conversation went like this:
Carville: "Hey." While his eyes darted all around like he was surrounded by demons.
Me: "Hey." As I'm motioning to the bartender for another drink.
Suddenly, he realizes he inadvertently entered the wrong party room and side-stepped out of there so fast it was like he physically slipped through the wall. A minute later my friend comes up and asks who that guy was I was talking to.
"James Carville."
"You mean that political dude?"
"Yep."
"Why did he run out so fast?"
"Dunno. Couldn't figure out if he was nervous someone was going to attack him or if he was pissed that no one recognized him."
And that was the best part. This particular group of friends doesn't give a rat's ass about politics, especially liberal politics, and most would have had no idea who he was. It did make me wonder who might have been in the other party room, but I'm sure that had I "accidentally" stepped in there, I would have been tossed right back out in a hurry.
I’ve met a shit ton when I was younger and worked in hotels. I also have a habit of bumping into b listers in random places - just a few weeks ago I was in with Tim from the recently canceled, but awesome show “The Detroiters”. Both of us were stuck with our families in line for Pirates of the Carribean.

Pot, meet kettle.
Matt Damon was the last celebrity we met. Got a great selfie with him.
Havent met any super famous people.
Very local celebrities or notables I have interacted with over the past few years -
OU Famous within the past year -
the Boz
Billy Tubbs
Dusty Dvorcek (sp)
talked to all three of these at the same place in Norman. Dusty spotted me on bench press. Some folks can probably figure out the place from that.
All 3 were nice and approachable. Dusty just seems like another one of the guys there.
Also I have seen Nadia Comaneci there a few times but Ive never spoken to her.
Several years ago sat next to Senator Inhoff on a flight from DC back to OKC. He was very open and talkative. Answered my questions regarding a couple if hot topic issues at the time.
Smashed a Tulsa television news girl after matching with her on a dating app. She is Tulsa market famous not OKC, so I had no clue who she was til later. Cant decide on divulging her name though.

Crossed paths with Carville in front of the Chophouse New Orleans (HIGHLY recommend) and got the same treatment

Reba can’t be worse than Hank Jr. That dude was a world class bitch.
ZZ Top was probably the nicest musicians I ever worked with.
She is the biggest phoney who ever lived. The one and only time she came out to the house she was supposed to be "building" she sent her crew there about 15 minutes before she arrived so they could tell everyone to not speak to her,do not approach her. They made all but two of the women volunteers stand in the back yard just before she arrived . She put on a nail belt and posed like she was working with the two women for a few publicity shots for the newspaper and she was gone. I got to know a couple of the ladies who worked for her. They both said she was the biggest bitch they had ever been around. Her whole attitude 24/7 is "do you know who I am?" She is definitely a bitch who likes to throw her weight around.
Amy Grant on the other hand was the first person on the job everyday and the last to roll up the cords before she left. It was unreal watching her work and being interrupted every two minutes for someone seeking a picture or autograph or both from her. I bet the day she was shingling the roof she made 50 trips or more up and down that ladder just because someone on the ground asked her to come meet them. I worked with her for 4 weekends and she never once refused a fan request. She is just a doll.

I bet famous people have an exclusive “celebs only board” and it has a thread asking about the last DB poster they met.
I bet they have a dancing asians thread evertime a new celeb comes on board.....and a death pool thread for when normal people die......pretty sure VUGear posts normal people pictures there all day long.
I thought this thread was supposed to be about the most recent, not all the famous people you ever met.
Also, isn't it supposed to be about someone you actually met? Not just saw somewhere?
Anyhow, can't remember who was the most recent. Maybe Bob Stoops or Barry? Maybe Roy Williams or Dusty? Maybe Lynda Carter or Alice Cooper? Maybe Patrick Ewing or John McEnroe? Maybe BJ Thomas or Bart Starr? Maybe Virgil or Ted DeBiase? Maybe JC Watts or Mary Fallin? Maybe Tom Cole or Jim Inhofe? Maybe Toby Keith or Mike Stoops? Maybe John Force or Shirley Muldowney? Maybe Jimmy Connors or Chris Everett? Maybe Bart or Nadia? Maybe every coach and player on the OU football, softball, volleyball, and basketball teams from 1999 till 2008? Maybe Willie McGee or Mark McGuire?
Fuck, I don't know which one was the most recent. Forgotten most of them.
