Friend of mine retired from OSP after 20 years. Started out as a guard, worked his way up to case manager, and finally unit manager. I don't remember when this was, or how the topic came up, we were talking about a male guard getting it on with one of the female prisoners at Taft. Even though it was consensual, they charged the guy with statutory rape. I'm not sure what ultimately happened to him. Anyway, my friend said that a week didn't go by at OSP that they didn't catch either a female guard, or one of the female support staff/non-uniformed, getting busy with one of the inmates. He said all they do is transfer her to another unit. Where, he added, they just find themselves another boyfriend.
The real topic of the discussion was the contradiction in how men guards and women guards are treated. Male guards get charged with rape, lose their jobs, get a felony conviction, and likely prison time. Female guards get nothing but a transfer to another unit or facility.

Another interesting bit of his story….
In light of his escape with Vicky, authorities are also re-opening an investigation into the mysterious death of his ex-girlfriend, Christy Shelton, in 2008.
Casey, 38, was there when Shelton was shot in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun. Her death was ruled a suicide, but her family never believed the story, WAFF reports.
It's just a matter of time... we'll get them
Casey has a history of violence with partners, having shot at his ex-girlfriend during a crime spree in which he killed a dog and held her roommates at gunpoint.
The 2015 incident culminated in the 6ft 9in 'monster' being sentenced to 75 years in prison on charges including attempted murder.
The search for Casey and guard Vicky White, 56, is intensifying as Lauderdale County deputies joined forces with the US Marshals, the Secret Service and other agencies to locate the fugitive pair.

There is a chance she is still alive depending how well they planned this out. Her selling her house tells me they have been working on this for awhile. They may have gone to ground some where for awhile till the heat wears off. He also needs here to go out in public to shop and interact with the public because it is hard to hide 6 ft. 9 inches.
On the other hand she could also be worm food by now. He has killed before.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Law enforcement officials are eight days into the manhunt for an escaped Lauderdale County inmate and the corrections employee accused of helping him.
News 19 is learning more about the preparations inmate Casey White and former corrections officer Vicky White (no relation) made before the escape.
Manhunt for Casey White, Vicky White: What we know
Lauderdale County District Attorney Chris Connolly told our partner NewsNation that Vicky White went to several banks and withdrew $90,000 in cash from the sale of her house on April 18.
Connolly added people who knew Vicky White said she was frugal and a saver, so it is possible she has a lot more cash than what she withdrew.
On Thursday, federal officials released photos of inmate Casey White’s tattoos – and possible alternate hairstyles for Vicky White. (Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals)
Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton has scheduled a press conference about the case for 2 p.m. Friday.

The suspected getaway vehicle driven by a wanted Alabama corrections official and escaped prison inmate was located in Tennessee, officials said.
An orange Ford Escape SUV, which authorities believe was used by Vicky White and Casey White, was found abandoned in Williamson County in Tennessee last week, authorities said.
The vehicle was then identified on Thursday night at a towing yard, according to AL.com. There had been an attempt to spray paint it, authorities said.
“It’s a botched up job,’' Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said, according to the outlet.
The SUV, which may have broken down, was originally found abandoned on April 29 but was only connected to Vicky White and Casey White late last night. Officials said they don’t believe the fugitive pair are nearby any longer.
“There is NO sign the two are still in our area,” the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet on Friday afternoon. “The SUV was reported abandoned a week ago. It was identified last night.”
The U.S. Marshals had previously released images of the Ford SUV, which they said Vicki White purchased from a dealership in Rogersville shortly before she allegedly assisted Casey White escape from jail. The license plate was unknown but it was ultimately identified using the vehicle identification number, officials said. Detectives suspect the pair used the SUV after abandoning the patrol car Vicki White initially used under the guise of taking Casey White to a supposed mental health screening, per CNN.
Lauderdale Sheriff Rick Singleton said investigators are now back to “square one,” with investigative efforts to locate Vicky White and Casey White.
"It really doesn't leave us a lot, we just know what direction they were headed, they headed north from here," Singleton said, CNN reported. "After Friday afternoon, when they abandoned that car, which direction they went from there, we don't know."
On Thursday, the U.S. Marshals released new images of Casey White, who vanished after he was captured by surveillance cameras while being escorted out of Lauderdale County Jail on April 29 by 56-year-old corrections officer Vicky White.
The pair, who are not related, were involved in a “special relationship,” officials said, which they suspect may date back to 2020.
According to authorities, the corrections official maintained an inappropriate romantic relationship with White on her personal time, speaking by phone while he was incarcerated, NBC reported.
"It was obviously a jailhouse romance,’' Singleton added Friday. “That’s the only explanation I have.”
Alabama law classifies sexual contact with an inmate by an employee as custodial sexual misconduct, a class C felony.
An arrest warrant was issued for Vicky White earlier this week. She’s been charged with facilitating or permitting escape in the first-degree, officials announced Monday.
Casey White was serving a 75-year sentence for for kidnapping, attempted murder and robbery at the time of his escape, according to jail records obtained by Oxygen.com.
Vicky White was set to retire this month and she recently sold her home, officials said. She’d been employed by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office for 16 years.
A $10,000 reward has since been issued for information related to their capture. They’re considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information as to Vicky White and Casey White’s whereabouts is urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-800-336-0102.

But she chose this path. $90,000 won’t last long when you have to keep ditching your cars.

It’s really nuts how some of these female prison guards are so easily manipulated by convicts. It happens regularly.
Short story: Greene County Correctional Facility here in Souf MS. Knew an older guy that has been married for many years. His wife got fired that worked there as a guard(they were in there 50’s I’d say).. He asked her, Why?? She gave him some excuse so he went up there demanding an explanation other than what she gave him.
They told him, that’s not the case, she acted unprofessional in her duties. He complained and told them pretty much Bullshit, better have more proof than that… OK.
They popped in a surveillance tape where she was getting railed sexually and willing by a inmate while her “friendgirl” was keeping watch, and then she would keep watch where her “friendgirl” was getting shafted by another inmate.. went on for a while…til they were caught.
Both were fired and that inmate was transferred to Parchman…and she followed. All in Love.
Different races as well. But it is amazing how these inmates can zero in on the weaknesses of females and actually cross that line to persuade them to have sex, much less break them out.
Sooo…this don’t surprise me, at all.

3) Wash stolen car

He did a home invasion/car jacking/police invasion in 2015….convicted of attempted murder in that mess.
He threatened to kill an ex-girlfriend and her sister.
He confessed and was awaiting trial in the stabbing murder of a 59 year old woman.
He has an ex wife’s that killed herself with a sawed off shotgun and he was the only one around to witness it…case now reopened.
Looking at the number of dead and attempted deaths…my guess is the prison guard didn’t shot herself. My guess is he shot her in the head when she got rammed and wrecked….$5 says he has powder residue on his hands.
No matter…we knew this was the end game for her. He wasn’t doing any of this for anyone but himself.

As a law abiding citizen, the car wash owners decision to install security is fine by me.
My guess is only people who are hiding something would be alarmed about a car wash owner having cameras on his own property.
