That's funny, but it does certainly beg the serious question "did he already know this?"

He better have or he's gonna be reeeeeally mad.

But I could stand to see tOSU, Ped State, and a few others beat up on USC every year.

It appears to be somewhat official

A second round of power conference realignment in as many years may be about to begin

If the Big12 were smart, they would go after Utah, Oregon, Oregon State and Washington right now.

Or maybe Cal, ASU, Zona and Utah

Package deal like OU and Texas.

So, the play here is the PAC, big12, and acc get into a room together. WVU, Cincy, ku, and UCF to the ACC. The remaining big 12, BYU, and remaining PAC merge.

If it happens, WAC 12 would become the best G5 conference in the land. I could see streaming services like DIY and Garden tv become their distribution channels.

Moves about cornering the big $$ deals. We are going to end up with 3 different classifications:

1 The Haves (SEC and Big10)
2 The Have Nots (PAC, Big12, ACC)
3 The Never Were (all others)

Would Stanford or Cal pick up the phone? If it happens, it would be a marriage made in heaven. The paddle section and the reindeer humping moron would be accepted with open arms on the West Coast.

It's picking up a ton of steam. Supposedly they've notified the PAC 12. San Jose Mercury News is who broke the story.

Crazy that the only *away game USC would play in both the Pacific or Mountain time zones would be UCLA. Every other game would be central or eastern time. Logistically have fun with that one.

The news comes less than a year after the Big Ten and Pac-12 -- along with the ACC -- announced a strategic alliance following the SEC's additions of Texas and Oklahoma. That alliance was light on substantive action from the start, and the Big Ten's poaching of two Pac-12 powers only further undermines the notion that the leagues will work together in combatting the SEC's growing hold on power in college sports.
I was wondering about that. There really isn't much need for a Big 10 PAC 12 alliance if two of main PAC members are officially in the Big 10 fold. And it brings the Big 10 up to parity with the SEC at 16 teams (after OU and Texas officially join).

looking beyond football the road trips for softball, baseball, basketball ect... will be a nightmare for those smaller sports, looks like the cost would drain an athletic budget, especially if they are paying a football coach 11 million a year.

This would work for OU….Big 12 would vote to dissolve. We’re out penalty free.
