Was getting ready to post something very similar to this. Lazers nailed it.

Wylie will have them tiptoeing through the tulips but they won’t be winning the LOS.

Utah shaking in their boots... or more likely laughing at this.

I heard Riley wanted to spread the field more this year. Evidently that means his offensive linemen will be taking wider splits this season.

If were being honest, our teams never gave up under Wiley. Many times when they needed to cone up clutch to make a play they did. So many times they were on the field longer than necessary, overcoming Riley's crappy mid game lulls.

They never got overly gassed and always had more in the tank. Look at the Texas game last year. Texas had their tongues hanging out by the 4th qtr

I have to give him props for that much. We'll see what Smitty does now...

That's due to Grinch playing 20+ people a game.

I remember everyone immediately referencing his failed efforts at UT and posting tweets of UT fans laughing at the hire. Do not remember much celebration from OU fans at all. Try again.

Yeah I think what little excitement there was, was not so much for Wylie, but for the guys who didn't like Schmitty because "he hurt our guys"

The only real positive thing I remember about Wylie was he was supposed to be a whiz at recruiting which of course the strength coach has a big hand in.

So, typical Riley. All recruiting, little development.

Didn't Wylie and Tom Hanks used to book vacations together to some island? either that or they used to booger the same possum at DeNiro's backyard bar-b-cue and animal circus, one of the two. But that came from Willie Nelson, so ya never know, Willie always was a jealous sumbitch.

I thought this was going to be something about Joe Wylie, from the early '70s. I'm real disappointed.

Many times when they needed to cone up clutch to make a play they did. So many times they were on the field longer than necessary, overcoming Riley's crappy mid game lulls.

I was in the former camp and there were plenty of us, some more critical than even "what has he done". But there were certainly plenty in the later camp too. Certainly not EVERYONE though.

I like all of the new stuff, but our lineman still need a lot of benches, squats, deadlifts, olympic lifts. Notre Dame's LT and LG both went in the top 10 of the draft this year, and i bet their conditioning didn't include pilates and crossfit.

Especially Taylor, Anderson, Hicks and Guyton. But either way it definitely looks like a huge improvement. I can’t wait to see how our interior lines look.

I won’t go on about Wylie, Riley, USC, etc, but I’m so glad to be done with finesse interior lines. If the play on the field matches the physical improvements, Gabriel won’t have to be perfect. Get Barnes and the other RBs behind a physical, punishing OLine…… We’re going to smash some bitches!
