As James Gallogly was being introduced as University of Oklahoma president Monday, a viewer of the Tulsa World’s Facebook Live coverage of the event remarked: “Sure hope he likes football.”
“I’m a true Sooner,” Gallogly told his audience. “If we lose a game or two I’m just as upset as you.”
A few minutes later, David Boren’s successor borrowed an OU ball cap worn to the stage by a member of the RUF/NEKS spirit group, and then, with Lincoln Riley and Bob Stoops a few feet away, flashed “Horns Down” while the band struck up “Boomer Sooner.”
So yes, it appears Gallogly likes football just fine. He has an OU degree
Gallogly is supposed to be known for his business acumen. This being the case, its obvious OU is headed to the SEC as this is where we can/will make the most money going forward. This is what good businessmen do - make the most money.
actually I hate everything about the PAC, if we steal their schools great, but I don't want anything to do with those lowlife-ne'r do wells who turned their back on us in the first place because they thought they were better than us.
Scott has bet his legacy and campus budgets on signing a blockbuster deal, and the prospects for success will depend, in part, on the valuation of the Pac-12 Networks at the time by potential bidders, whether it’s ESPN and Fox or Amazon and Facebook.
“We have an obligation to be prepared for the next rights agreement,’’ Shuken said.
With that in mind, he recently named Larry Meyers as executive vice president/content. Meyers’ role, in short: Drive content strategy across the linear, digital and social platforms, on big screen TVs and smart phones, with current students and older fans alike.
The value of the Pac-12’s media rights will depend partly on the level of audience engagement, Shuken explained, and the engagement level depends, to a certain extent, on the quality of the content.
Shuken, in his first year in charge of the Pac-12 Networks, faces a series of challenges on the road to 2024, when the conference's massive contracts with ESPN and Fox expire.
I've been interested in Conf Realignment since 2011, and OU followers seemed to generate the most interest of all the message boards. Besides, I'm a Mountaineer alum who has supported Jayhawk BB since 1989, and I have liked Sooner FB since the early 50s, when my dad taught me what a great coach Bud Wilkinson was.
Let other schools take over this thread, by all means, it'll be fun to watch losers bitch/piss/moan among themselves. And every now and then someone can ask them how come they don't go to their own board and shit all over it, like the old board.
Flugar just broke another Gopher story on twitter and is being lauded by the Minnesota local press. Yeah, to compare Dude of West Virginia to Flugar is a joke. I’m not saying Flugar has the Oklahoma & Kansas talking to Nebraska story correct, but the guy has sources.

Of course they’re talking. Peer schools in the same region, and one has just had a major change in administration. It would be more newsworthy if they were not talking.

I believe every "major outlet" has a source and probably has some nugget of truth in it (even the Dude at one point probably did), however the problem is that 98% of everything these folks says is more than likely speculation with only a small bit actually being true.

We now know that the ACCN and SECN are being marketed as a pair. Join one conference, get exposure in the areas that both footprints encompass.
Where would Oklahoma want exposure? The west coast? The midwest? or up and down the east coast.... across the southeast and all of Texas (guaranteed) ?
Saw that, very interesting. ACCN and SECN get carriage on Altice in NY, NJ, PA, CT. I'm sure ND helps the ACCN in the northeast and maybe even OH and into Chicago. Hopefully the ACCN will get carriage in TX and TN with the SECN.
